Blog Assist?! Holy Moly!
Didn’t we have a lovely time, the day we went to the inaugural Blog Assist workshop! Well I think everyone did! In case you don’t know, I held a workshop yesterday in Brighton teaching the ABSOLUTE basics about Digital photography.
The sun was shining and I personally had an AMAZING time teaching a great bunch of ‘automatic’ camera users how their precious babies actually worked. It was ‘back to basics’ time, learning all about Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO, White Balance, Depth of Field, Light and Composition … and much more to be honest. I even threw in some history about photography too.
I felt pretty cruel at times, leaving people to find the required settings/buttons on their own cameras (bouncing questions off their neighbours with a similar make of camera) but I am confident that at the end of the day, everyone knew how to expose for their subject, take a picture and then adjust accordingly. Happy days! I was even asked “When’s the next one?” so that means at least one person liked it!!!
I do plan to hold another ‘Learn the ABSOLUTE basics of digital photography’ workshop in a couple of months so please follow the Blog, visit our Facebook page and on Twitter to @blogassistuk for up to date news.
